Access to the Mockingbird Fire Lookout
The hike is described in detail in Vol 3, Route 2, of Gillean Dafferns Kananaskis Country Trail Guide. A marked topo map is available on-line at kananaskisblog.com/maps/ Scroll down to Vol 3 and click on map 2.
Park at the gated access road where it leaves the Waiparous Valley road, not far from Hwy 40.
The hike is a straight-forward plod up the road to the lookout at the summit. There is a lot of radio equipment there including an amateur repeater VE6GAB.
Bell cell coverage is available on the summit.
