Beautiful mountain views on well maintained trail (except for the first part behind the trail sign next to the river). There is an alternate trail start that skirts the eroded area that’s about 100 m down the road from the trail sign.
Great backcountry tea house - the host made us meso soup and a basil spinach and meat sandwich. Her peanut bars were excellent.
Unfortunately the lake was frozen and still plenty snow on the trail for the last km.
