Overview

This is a moderate out and back loop trail in Char Mar Ridge Preserve.

This trail goes by Hoover Reservoir.

Not sure where they got their information as to the length of this trail. Trail head information says 1.5 miles. If you do the spur out to the bicycle trail and back in continue around the loop, Trail length is 1.97 miles.

This hike is not what it says. If you do the full circle and take the spur out to the bike trail and back, it’s about 2 miles long. I did it with a backpack in under an hour. It is also an exercise trail with suggested stops and exercises to do at each stop. It is a beautiful hike but it is not difficult. I would place it at easy to medium. While this preserve is next to Hoover reservoir, they are not connected and you are not able to see Hoover reservoir from any part of this trail.
