Lessons learned Shallow trees are really fun when there’s not too much snow Bring Ballcap and warmer cap Bring temp gage Bring ice scraper Chains Temp today - 10top, 16 bottom, cloudy, Light snow Base layers bottoms 150 and 3/4 ducks-ok Upper underarmour turtle base, marmot front only insulated- shell -ok New gloves ok Learned- don’t have to rotate heel Can rip skins Keep one pole in snow for support opposite the side I kicked the ski to to rip it- fell over Keep poles out of the way so I can swing it back over after ripping Drink at the bottom before ascent since I take skis off anyway and a longer rest at lower altitude Phone stayed on in airplane mode and recorded a route successfully - save and add notes About 1300’ vert over 3 laps
