Sierra del Norte Loop(edit)

Overview

This is a nice short hike with good views in all directions. Good option for someone visiting from lower elevation and looking for a relaxed walk in the hills. This is juniper / piñon forest, so there is some shade but don't expect an alpine forest. That's a few miles up the road. There are several other options starting from the same parking lot.
