Overview
This is a easy out and back hike to the shelter at Maxwell Butte. The shelter has a wood stove for the winter. This is a place to snowshoe as well.
Getting Started
Park at the Maxwell Snow Park. The trail starts to the north and there is a pit toilet there.
Taking Children
This trail would be ok for young children.

Who: Jess, Justin, Marco, Chris, Megan
32-40 degrees, about 2 inches of snow - not enough for snow shoes but great hiking. Clouds with some sun. Made fondue and peppermint hot chocolate at the hut.
