Lake Tahoe Flume Trail
This was an epic ride on the iconic Flume Trail in Lake Tahoe.
The ride starts out with a 4 mile 1000 climb to 8,000 feet. This part of the ride was tough, as the sandy terrain slowed us down. We had to hop off our bikes and walk a few times.
The downhill was a bit more death defying than expected. Long stretches of the trail sit along narrow pathways that offer sharp rocks to the right and a steep drop to the left.
The last 2 miles were pretty steep and required some crafty braking as to not skid out in the sandy turns. We finished up mostly unscathed.
