This is the hike everyone does in Yuma to prove something? You hike a mile to the gate at the bottom of the incline. You then go 1444 feet straight up for 1.5 miles for a total of 2.5 miles one way. The walk up is just challenging no real great view. Upon arriving at the top with all the antennas you do have a good view of Yuma and Welton valleys. Take plenty of water and snacks. Enjoy the burn😉

This has some very scenic spots particularly as you get higher up the mountain. Mostly, this is an aerobic challenge. It’s steep to the top and this hill is a good place to gauge your level of fitness before striking out on other hikes. The easy trail is a great place to figure out what you can do - and measure your improvement as you get in shape.
