Pretty Simple....Either drive or ride up the Shady Pass Road to Cresent Hill Trailhead. Start up the steep first pitch of the trail to a junction in about 200 yards. Stay on trail #1448. Don't go down Lake Creek Trail. You will quickly come to another intersection....stay right on trail #1448. You will climb and descend numerous times. At the bottom of a hill after about 2.5 miles you'll come to the intesection with the Angle Peak Trail #1144. Stay left and climb up the hill to the intersection with the Four Mile Ridge Trail #1445. Go left down #1448 and you'll criss-cross the slope on a fun descent with some increasing rocky switchbacks. At the bottom you'll be in a rather large field of talus. Ride/walk up the trail through the talus slope. Once on top continue to climb for about 5 more minutes and then descend to the intersecton with the Pot Peak Trail # 1266. Get ready for 10 miles of downhill single track. The upper section was rough in 2014 but after about a mile trail conditions improve. Enjoy the ride!! Arrive at the Pot Peak Trailhead.
