Little Blue Lake via Mitchell Lake Trail(edit)

Overview

This is a difficult one way trail to Little Blue Lake in Roosevelt National Forest.

This trail goes by 23, 24, 38, h4, 26, 22, 27, 39, Brainard Lake, CMC Brainard Hut, Mitchell Lake, and Blue Lake.

The final approach to Little Blue Lake is steep with a poorly defined trail and some loose rock. This hike is marked as "easy" but it is not easy, more like difficult.

Taking Children

I did it with my 11 yr/old but I would not recommend it especially the steep final section with quite a bit of loose rocks. My 14 yr/old was more OK with it.
