Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 14 min to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are April through October. You'll need to leave pups at home — dogs aren't allowed on this trail. This is an absolutely beaut walk in Watarrka National Park. Venture down to the Garden of Eden and ascend to the top to marvel at the panoramic views. This is a stunning undulating hike through red rock scenery. The most challenging part is getting to the rim of the canyon. Although the first climb is steep, it is well maintained, with spots to rest on the way up. After this section, it's an easy hike. You'll have an especially great view if you reach the top for sunrise. Tracks are very well marked and maintained. Starting the walk as early as possible is recommended as it gets boiling and there is little shade along the top of the canyon.
