Valley of the Winds Full Circuit Kata Tjuṯa

Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 25 min to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. You'll need to leave pups at home — dogs aren't allowed on this trail. Embark on a challenging and rocky loop hike near Uluru in the Northern Territory and immerse yourself in the breathtaking Valley of the Winds. Follow the Kata Tjuta Trail to Karingana Lookout and witness the natural beauty of the Kata Tjuta landform, one of the two major geological landmarks within the Uluru-Kata Tjuṯa National Park. This circuit boasts spectacular views and takes you down the valley to Kata Tjuta's domes and creek beds. Although the walk is suitable for kids, some sections of the trail can be quite steep and rocky, so it's important to take your time. Kata Tjuta and the Valley of the Winds are culturally sensitive areas, and the Anangu people request that all visitors show respect when visiting this special place to help protect the continuation of the world's oldest living culture. You can do your part by walking quietly, treading lightly, and staying on the trail. Please refrain from commercially photographing or filming on this trail and avoid sharing personal photos online, as Anangu culture believes that these geological formations hold knowledge that should only be learned in person by those with cultural authority.
