Lake of the Woods via Airport Road
Overview
This is a moderate one-way trail, that is only moderate because of its length. You can adjust the difficulty just by shortening your hike to the end of the lake, railroad tracks, or bridge in town. This point-to-point hike is easy in the way of elevation, but the changing views will take your breath away. If you start away from town, pass a lake, over the railroad tracks, and into town for a quick something to snack on will hit the spot. But it's when you're on your way back that you will unwind and get back to nature. The sensation of getting away from it all, seeing the birds and nature has a beautiful way of recharging you. Now that you're done reading this, get out there!
Getting Started
On the North end, there is a little blue building with enough parking for about 4 cars comfortably. You are not allowed to trespass inside the blue facility, please leave generous space for town staff to access the facility if needed. Once parked, walk safely!
Taking Children
because the route follows a road, it's not advised to bring small children.
