2nd time here, but we went to Mason lake the first time. This was all about going up to Bandera.
The access road has been patched, and is WAAAAY better now.
Great hike up to the fork, and then she gets steeeeeeep. Definitely needed the MicroSpikes in the snow. A couple of people didn't have them, and you could see where they'd fallen (everywhere).
It's almost harder coming down.
