Overview
This is a moderate out and back trail to Indian Head in Franconia Notch State Park.
This trail goes by Mount Pemigewasset.
Getting Started
Park at the Flume parking area for an out and back hike. Notes;
My hike time was fast, 2.5-3.0 hours may be typical
This is a 52 With a View summit which has made if very popular. On the day I hiked it was too crowded, spoiling the experience. Great view for moderate hike.
Taking Children
Not an easy hike for children less than 10.
The ledges and cliffs at top are dangerous.

The trail is fairly steep, and strenuous. I would not call it difficult, but definitely moderate.
Lots of ice and some snow. Good thing we had micro spikes on our boots. Otherwise there would have been many bruises. And possibly we would not have summited.
