Trail of the Molten Lands - Newberry Volcanic National Monument - 4/5
With Thomas. Thomas and I hiked out to the end of the trail to try and capture some sunset photos. We hurried out to not miss the light and got some great photos. While we were out there we saw some lightning in the distance and tried to capture a lightning bolt with our cameras. The wind began to pick up dramatically and Thomas suggested we pack up and turn around before the rain hit our equipment. We just got the camera packed away and the rain shells on before the deluge hit. It rained and hailed with thunder and lightning the whole way back. We were drenched by the time we made it back to the car.
