Overview
Explore this challenging point-to-point section of the Pacific Crest Trail near Snoqualmie Pass, Washington. Spanning approximately 36 hours of hiking time, this route is popular for backpacking, birding, and camping. Expect to encounter other hikers along the way. The best time to travel this trail is from June through September. Dogs are welcome and may be off-leash in some areas.
This stunning stretch of the PCT takes you deep into the heart of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. Starting at Snoqualmie Pass, the trail climbs toward Kendall Peak, offering expansive views above treeline. From there, it descends to the shores of Spectacle Lake before continuing over multiple high mountain passes and past numerous alpine lakes. The scenery is breathtaking, but bugs can be intense—come prepared. The route ends at Highway 2, near the base of Stevens Pass Ski Resort.
