Nice hike with rewarding views. It starts of with a moderate up hill for about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile, then levels off and descends before returning to mostly up hill at about 1.6 miles in. Nice vistas along the way, final vista has great views of The Hudson River, North Creek, Gore Mountain and panoramic views of the southern Adirondacks. Trail Head marker indicates 2.1 mile hike. Our 3 GPS devices recorded a distance to the final pinnacle of 2.75 - 2.85 miles. Well worth it, moderate would be my rating but I am no expert so others may rate it easier. It took us about 2 hours to ascend and descend. Enjoy

22 mins from Windover. Drive to North Creek, take Rte 28N to 14th Road. Take a left and follow it to the well marked trailhead (DON'T take a left onto a dirt road with a sign to Moxham Mountain but stay straight ahead and follow the trailhead signs).
Our round trip took 3.5 hours. (Younger crowd moved fasted!). The walk is a nice mix of elevation gains, followed by some flat walking or decline, with further gains.
A splendid feature of the hike is a series of higher and higher rock faces with increasingly dramatic views of Gore, the Garnet Mine, and at the top 180 degrees from the Hudson to the High Peaks.
Lovely woods the whole way.
