Trail was a bit overgrown towards Lookoff Mountain. Lots of blowdowns that have been there a while. Trail was a bit muddy and rocks were slick - trekking poles definitely kept me vertical a few times. Was not prepared for how challenging this hike was going to be - took a lot longer than expected.

Hiked 10-23-19 on a beautiful day, temps in the 60's. I was out shape and this trail kicked my butt--quads and calves are still sore 4 days later! Great trail w 4 backcountry campsites that can be reserved, I'll be back!
