This is a great hike along the Lake Tahoe bank. It’s amazing how beautiful this Lake is. It sparkles & the color blue would be a hard one to match by any means. I would consider this hike moderate & it can get pretty dusty in the summer months. Lots of runners like to use it for training & hikers of all ages. There are nice camp sites at Bliss State park, where you can plan a couple of overnights that include this hike. Dogs are not allowed on this trail & that means to plan ahead if you have dogs. At the time of this writing camp sites run about $35/night & campers can share their space with a couple of others. *** Gaia Maps on Airplane causes your distance to be longer than it is. And of course off airplane your battery gets hit. The total distance round trip is about 10.2. My map says 4.5 miles one way & that’s short. I’ve hiked it too many times with multiple users of GPS devices plus the forest service/park signs are a depiction.
