Overview
This is a moderate out and back trail to Yellow Branch Falls in Sumter National Forest. It crosses a few rivers and small waterfalls along the way. Most have rocks placed for convenient crossings. The hike ends at a stunning view of Yellow Branch Falls as it cascades down the rock face.
Getting Started
The trailhead begins at Yellow Branch Falls Recreation Area off SC Hwy 28 S. The lot fills up quickly on the weekends. The trail begins just past the picnic area - look for the sign with a map of the route.
Taking Children
This trail is suitable for children. Some may need help across the river crossings. Be careful around the rocks at the base of Yellow Branch Falls - they are often slippery.

First hike without Bugsy. Some early tears from both of us. Really beautiful walk in woods to a gorgeous falls. We were the only ones there until seeing a few groups close to the exit.
