Conditions: wet. Saw nice range of precipitation from speckling to drizzle to full-on rain shower. Trail held up with only a few puddles and slippy-slidy mud spots.
Steady elevation gain on the first two miles up a wide forest service road. The view from the crest was like the Matrix load-screen- white out; but that’s life in the PNW clouds. Down to loop around Squires lake and see the Beaver pond and do it’s loop before returning to the car. Only a couple people on the trail, couple families fishing along the lake. The spring foliage is fully in with its assortment of greens and several wild flowers were seen. Parking was along the road and only affords a few cars. I would do it again on a clear day to see what’s there.
