Overview

This is a moderate out and back trail in Bow Valley Wildland Provincial Park.

This trail goes by Red Ridge.

Expect the tarns (lakes at the cirque) dry up in late summer. Steady incline, very steep if you go up to Red Ridge. Passes through a larch forest

Getting Started

Trailhead on the Smith Dorrien Highway. Park at the Sparrowhawk Day Use Area and cross the highway to start the hike. Well signed. First part of hike is on a bike trail.
