Overview

This is a moderate loop trail to Buntzen lake in Buntzen Lake Recreation Area. Feel free to hike along the lake, kayak or paddle board in the lake.

This trail goes by Swan Falls and McCombe Lake.

Time will carry but should be between 3-4 hours depending or speed, and stops.

Getting Started

Park at balcarra park- main parking area, and then follow signboards to travel the lake on the east or west side for a round trip.

Taking Children

Great workout style hike Lots of chances to sprint up ascents Varied terrain such as roots, loose rock and dirt No real need for water if well conditioned I’m 52 and do about 6 hrs exercise / week and it took my two hours Do not expect spectacular views
