Overview
This is a difficult loop trail in Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary.
This trail goes by Cape Alava Campground, Sand Point, and Sand Point Campground.
The difficult aspect of the hike occurs if you have to go over the headlands (steep climb and decent) if the tide is in. If the tide is out then it is easier to walk around the headlands.
Getting Started
Parking at the Ozette Lake trailhead near the Ozette Ranger Station and Campground.
Taking Children
Trail will be difficult and dangerous for small children if climbing over the headlands is required due to the tide.
