Undercliff Overcliff Carraige Road Loop(edit)

Overview

This is a moderate loop trail in Mohonk Preserve.

The route begins at the West Trapps Trailhead on the West Trapps Connector Trail, up to the Trapps Bridge and then around the Trapps Cliff via Undercliff and Overcliff Road. Half way through the hike you will arrive at Rhododendron Bridge (which if you don't look closely may not appear to be a bridge). At this intersection look for signs for Overcliff or Undercliff road and follow either one to get back to the Trapps Bridge. The hike includes several lookout points of both Clove Valley (Overcliff) and out towards the town of New Paltz (Undercliff). It also includes great cliffs and boulders along Undercliff.
