Seneca Rocks Trail
Overview
This is an easy out and back hike to the top of Seneca Rocks featuring an observation deck.
The trail is well marked, maintained, and provides a small area to sit midway. There is gradual elevation gain over multiple switchbacks and some steps down to the observation deck with good views of the valley.
This is a popular area for rock climbers. Please be careful to not dislodge sticks and stones as they may fall onto the climbers below.

Parking:
Parking is at the Spruce Knob-Seneca Rocks Visitors Center.

When to Go:
The trail is open year round during daylight hours. In the fall, this is a nice hike to see the fall colors.
Caution:
Shortly after proceeding past the observation deck, there is a sign stating the following:
"STOP You alone are responsible for your safety. We know it is very tempting to proceed past this point BUT without proper climbing equipment you are putting yourself and your family/friends at risk. Since 1971, 15 people have died at Seneca Rocks from falls. It's not worth the risk. Hikers enjoy the very same view from the safety of the observation platform."
