Arethusa Cirque Route(edit)

Overview

Rated as easy but is actually quite technical - it has a very steep section that is better to go up than down. Go clockwise! At the top and coming down when going clockwise, there is a scree section to walk across and large rocks to navigate under a rock fall hazard area. Make sure to have hiking shoes and poles.

Closer to 5km round trip from the parking lot. Just under 300m elevation gain

Getting Started

There is a turnoff of highway 40 but not an official parking lot - just an area on the grass to park. Gets extremely busy in larch season - arrive before 10am
