This is a difficult loop trail to Wright Peak in Adirondack Park.
This trail goes by VanHoevenberg/Algonquin, MacIntyre Falls Lookout, MacIntyre Falls, Algonquin Peak, Algonquin/Wright, Trail Register, High Peaks Information Center, and Wilderness Campground at Heart Lake.

Algonquin via VanHo
Hike from the Loj toward marcy dam on Van Hoevenberg but go straight/right at the intersection with Algonquin trail (1.2mi). Take the Algonquin trail to the campsite just before MacIntyre Falls (2.6mi) and just after the Wright Peak Ski Trail. Day Two. Take the Algonquin trail straight to the summit (4mi from start), continuing toward Boundary Peak and Iroquois if desired. On the way back (or on Day 1) take the short trail to Wright Peak, approx. half way between camp and Algonquin summit (the spur is ~.4mi long). From Wright or Algonquin summit, retrace path back to ADK Loj.
