Botanical Beach Loop
Overview
This is a easy loop trail in Juan de Fuca Provincial Park. The trail drops down through the forest then turns southeast to parallel Botanical Beach. There are several spots where you can access the beach. While the Juan de Fuca Marine Trail continues south along the coast, you will turn uphill and climb through the forest to loop back to your car. The best time to visit is low tide so make sure you check the tide tables first.
Botanical Beach Provincial Park was a 351-hectare (870-acre) park that was established in 1989. In 1996 it was consolidated into Juan de Fuca Provincial Park (along with Loss Creek Provincial Park and China Beach Provincial Park).
Getting Started
The trail starts at the west end of the parking loop.
Taking Children
Children will love the destination. There are some exposed roots on the trail, so smaller children will need to watch for those.
