This is a fairly easy out and back that can be turned into a lollipop or loop by using other connected trails. There are only a few areas where you have any serious elevation gain, but there are a couple areas where you need to make a pretty high step up onto some rock. The payoff is worth it, as you get one of the best views in the gorge area. Be warned that the parking is limited, so it is highly advised to get there early on nice days, particularly in the fall. Courthouse Rock is a great area to have a leisurely lunch, anyway. So take your time and enjoy it!
