Sol Duc Falls Loop(edit)

Amazing trail, if you don't stay on it ! Do yourself a favor, and get off of the beaten path. We took so many real photos here (not in EveryTrail), but nearly all of them were well off of the trail. Follow the first creek up to the left, just after the trail starts. It's like Lord of the Rings.... and goes forever. We were up there for at least an hour before coming back to the trail. We opted to take Lover's Lane back to the start. Wow. Should be renamed divorce trail ! So much downfall over the winter, and zero maintenance yet (in March) made it nearly impassable. Not for the timid. No signs, and traversing large trees across the bog/lake made it extremely hard for experienced hikers. Fun, but long and hard.
