Best hike in Theodore Roosevelt N.P. Beautiful views of the Little Missouri and some very unique rock formations on the southern part of the trail. The northern part is a wonderful nature trail. Saw some bison along the hike. With the trail head closed you can park at the river bend overlook and hike it just as well. Mid September makes for the perfect color contrast as well. Make sure to hike the trail counter clockwise for a gentler ascent at the end of a moderate and pleasurable hike.
