First, let me say that this hike isn’t ‘Easy’ by anyone’s definition. I would rate the Section defined by signs as ‘Primitive Trail’ (east side of loop) as hard and the section on the west side of the summit as moderate. The west side of the loop is well designed and built. It traverses some spectacular scenery. The summit has a 360 view of the low peaks of the Cache La Poudre, as well as good views of Hague’s Peak and Fall Peak. (Longs Peak is blocked by a low foreground peak).
