Lake Lillian Trail
Overview
I wouldn’t consider this a difficult hike compared to a bunch of other hikes in the surrounding areas off the Snoqualmie Pass corridor. It’s a steady climb up with some leveling out in spots to catch your breath. There is a few view spots of Mt Rainer and surrounding forest. Trail wasn’t terribly inclined and for those wanting to enjoy a snack along the way there is a couple old trees that had fallen and made into bench seating. Do your self a favor and don’t miss out on this hike due to the labeled “difficult” rating it’s been deemed.
Getting Started
Parking at the trail head has a decent amount of spots. Get there early if you prefer to hike on weekends. Trail starts out on a road and eventually leads to the entrance on the left. The condition of the trail is super and well defined. Once atop the ridge you will then switch back down and be treated to a nice alpine lake discreetly tucked away in the cove Mt Margaret. Great hike and while there a couple of the overnight backpackers were pulling fish out of the lake. All in all a great hike and you will not be disappointed with this one.
Taking Children
The trail isn’t by any means difficult for a child, I passed a couple single parents with their kids going up on my way down. I did have my pup with me and he loved it, since most of us dog lovers consider them our children, I’ll leave that right here.
