St. Mary’s Peak via St. Mary's Trailhead
This is a grueling hike with great rewards. The hike is moderately difficult, it is a mile and a quarter uphill before leveling off somewhat for three quarters of a mile before the next aggressive uphill climb. The summit is 3.75 miles from the trailhead and offers stunning views of the Selway Bitterroot Wilderness and Bitterroot Valley.
St Mary’s Peak
First section is through a 2024 burn area. Not a lot of shade on the hike, but great views of the Bitterroots. View from the top is stunning.
