Overview

This is a easy out and back trail to Moore Cove Falls in North Carolina.

This is a very popular and family-friendly hike. There is good parking at the trailhead, but it can get crowded on a nice weekend day.

Off of the trail a ways is Little Moore Cove Falls.

Getting Started

The trailhead is at an established parking area in Pisgah Ranger District along Highway 276 on the right. Check out out a map to drive to the trailhead.

Taking Children

This trail is good for hikers of all ages.

This is a very pretty waterfall, and a nice, short walk from the parking area. On this trip, we went at too busy of a time, and it was nearly impossible to get a photo without other people in it. Still, make a point to take the user trail over to Little Moore Cove Falls, which is much less crowded.
