Starting at Smuggler's notch hike is pretty much moderate uphill climb. Trail was pretty wet from but footing sound. Foliage spectacular (October 5). Lots of hikers and foliage viewers so get there early to avoid crowds and finding parking.

Sterling Pond Trail

Demetri and Belkys hiked this after Jessica’s wedding. A lot steeper than expected. Like giant rock steps forever. Belkys knees hurt on the downhill return. Pretty lake at top with only one ow two rocks as viewing spots. Somewhat congested trail on weekend.
