Overview
This is a moderate out and back trail (3.4 miles each way). Starting from the Blackwood's campground, the trail steadily climbs to the summit of Cadillac Mountain with excellent views of the park. Early tree cover is plentiful until it thins for most of the approach, leading to sunny exposure on rock with brilliant 360 views all around.
Blazes and cairns mark this excellent trail. A one rung ladder and several high steps could require the use of hands. Dogs can use this trail
No potable water is available along the trail. A concession stand and water bottle filling station as well as bathrooms are available at the summit.
Getting Started
Park on the side of the road near Blackwoods campground, take the marked trail.
