I much preferred this trail over the trail that comes up from the campground. Nicely maintained trail with very few patches of mud. Easy walking.

An intermediate trail of 5.6 Km. A beautiful view of lakes and mountains from the fire tower at the top. Interesting feature is the old burned down ranger stone cabin and a couple of beaver ponds halfway up. Beavers have actually flooded the trail and at present one must walk across on some logs and, of course, the beaver dam.
