Unreal weather day! The weather got even more mild overnight. No winds at the summit. 🤩🙌🏼 snowshoes went for a ride-they would’ve been helpful going up Glencliff but only to give your calves a break. Hillsounds we’re the traction of choice. I didn’t expect the trail conditions to be this amazing especially after the warm day we had yesterday!!!.

We hiked Glencliff at Mt. Moosilauke yesterday. Great weather. The hike felt hard. Steady elevation from the beginning for about 1.5 miles. There is still plenty elevation but it wasn't as hard after that. Then you hit the rocks and you need to do a lot of big step ups. You should definitely wear hiking boots because there is a lot of roots in some areas and the rocks can be slippery. Also, there are a few parts of the trail that you have to cross over running water but it's not too hard to cross. The views from the top are amazing. Great hike! My legs were jello by the end.

Mt Moosilauke via Glencliff Trail (7/25/25)
Cloudy morning with summits in and out of the clouds. Summit was clear when I arrived, but views to the north and northeast (Franconia Notch and the Pemi areas) were blocked by low clouds filling in Kinsman Notch.
Cool temps and light winds.
Moosilauke (10/6/19, 12:58:00PM)
It was mid 40s with a heavily misting rain and 30mph wind at the summit. Cloud layer at about 2700 ft.
