Overview

This is an easy loop trail in Red Rocks Park. There are multiple small loop trails within this park. You can easily navigate through all of the trails and create one large full loop so you can cover and see everything. This hike described here is the "Full Loop" so you cover everything if you follow it.

This trail goes by Lake Champlain.

Getting Started

Parking is on Central Street in South Burlington. Parking is free and easily accessible. Once parked there is a lot of big vibrant signage that can help you get started. There is 0 guessing when it comes to where the park is and where to go.

Taking Children

This is an easy hike that can be accomplished successfully by older preschoolers and elementary school children. If you tackle the full loop it can be a bit tiring but doable. The ground is well manicured and flat. There is plenty to look at.

This park is well designed to support bringing children. There are plenty of pull offs along the trails that are great places for snacks and rest breaks. Excellent views and some reading can keep kids going throughout the entire thing. 10/10 for kid accessible and nice.
