Lake Junaluska Loop
Overview
This is a easy loop trail around Lake Junaluska in Western North Carolina. It mostly follows a paved pathway with a small gravel section. The walk passes many attractive homes, the Methodist conference center, gardens, and wildlife habitat. 2.5 and 3.5 mile options are available. Maps are available from kiosks along the way.
Getting Started
From US 74 take exit 102 and proceed N on US 276. At the T-intersection with US 19 turn right and then turn left onto N Lakeshore Drive. Continue around the sharp curve and turn R on Memory Lane. Park in the lot at the boating and swimming area. If the lot is full additional parking is available farther along N Lakeshore Drive. The path proceeds to the left along the sidewalk or by following the road to the right. The loop is equally good in either direction.
