Overview

This is a easy out and back trail in Coyote Ridge Natural Area. Head straight to the first foothill and slowly climb your way up for some awesome views of the immediate front range area. One shelter spot about 1.1 miles in, after that there is no cover from any weather conditions you may encounter. Lots of mule deer, black-tailed prairie dogs, a few lizards and of course some snakes. Bring plenty of water as there is no creek or spring in play. Enjoy the view at the top and continue on to join the rim rock open space if desired.

Getting Started

Parking lot is just off of N. Wilson Ave.(Loveland side) or south Taft Hill Rd.(Fort Collins side).

Taking Children

Not too challenging to get a good perspective of the area from this trail, gradual climb along a road until closer to the top.
