Not the flavor of “easy” I was looking for today but that’s on me and my sea level lungs! Lots of uphill. Buggy today. Lots of rocks popping out of the super dry dirt, watch your step. Very pleasant encounters with people and pups alike. Lovely scenery of course. Just enough tree cover. Saw a couple of wild turkey! Stop leaving your dog bags on the trail, please. Gross.

It was warm in June, but there is a little bit of shade along the trail. Butterflies were enjoying little puddles in the shade, and it felt almost like a oasis and a great break from the heat/blazing sun. The red rocks are really gorgeous, and would have liked to photograph them at sunrise/sunset.
