This is a easy one way trail to ampitheater in Castlewood Canyon State Park.

This loop provides great views of what was Lake Louisa, the old Castlewood Dam and takes you into the inner canyon. Generally the trail is well-defined and easy to travel. The creek crossing near the end of the Lake Gulch trail can be tricky. The Inner Canyon provides some areas which are more difficult, but well worth while. The climb out of the inner canyon can be icy and ice spikes are recommended during such times.
