I really enjoy most any hiking available off Skyline Drive in Virginia. We set off from the top of the White Oak Canyon trail off skyline drive. It is a fairly easy hike downhill but don’t be fooled, you have to hike back up! The trail is really well marked and your hike down is rewarded with a scenic waterfall at the end! The falls are an even closer hike if you start the White Oak Canyon trail from the Graves Mountain lodge side of the trail.

A beautiful Canyon, lots of rushing waterfalls, but a strenuous climb for seniors in mid 70s. Still, we enjoyed this hike up and down. Except for a few birds, no other wildlife.
