Overview

This is a easy loop trail in Idaho Panhandle National Forests. Once on the ridge, there is a picnic area for lunch, and later, at the viewpoint, there is a nice bench for enjoying the view.

From November to February, you can visit the area to view a population of migrating bald eagles, that come to feed on spawning kokanee salmon.

Getting Started

Parking at the Mineral Ridge Scenic Area has space is limited, but provides facilities and picnic areas for before or after your hike.
