Overview
This is a difficult out and back trail to Booth Lake in White River National Forest.
Most people only hike to the falls, that's a short hike, but if you choose to continue to the lake you will be rewarded with the beauty of a scenic alpine lake and you may even see some mountain goats hanging nearby.
Getting Started
Easy access to the trail near Vail off of Interstate 70

Booth Lake
Bev and I have been to more than a few alpine lakes, and this is one of the more scenic.
Booth Falls lies halfway up and is a draw for a lot of visitors. Far fewer people venture beyond the falls. (The Falls are just so-so, compared to the vistas at the Lake.)
