Had a plan to backpack elsewhere but 10miles our from the start I was turned around by a Forest Service employee account a fire that was about a mile up the road. Pulled out Gaia GPS app and looked for another option. As I was about 6 or so miles from the trailhead there was a road closed in 4.5miles. Would I be hiking today. I continued as there was a different Trailhead prior to where the road was “closed” if I had to change plans again. There was a washout at a culvert but there was enough rocks and the dip was not that bad for the Forester. Not the mention the limbs I had to drive over and the trees on the rod I needed to go around on the way up. But I did make it. Was going to backpack in the Indian Heaven Wilderness but the wind from the previous 30some hours that has knocked down numerous trees across the trails was still blowing and I did not want to get caught in it. Some backpackers that I ran into said some people they talked too were out at a site last night and a tree fell right next to them so they picked up and headed to the meadow. So this turned into a day hike and I enjoyed a number of beautiful lakes.
